Reverend Fekecia L. Gunn
Rev. Fekecia Gunn is driven by a deep passion to motivate and ignite the Body of Christ toward wholeness, purpose, and fulfillment. Her preaching and teaching flow from a practical and relatable perspective, with the goal of seeing God’s people informed, empowered, and liberated to live out their faith boldly in every area of life.
Rev. Gunn currently serves as the Pastor of Greenwood African Methodist Episcopal Church in Millington, Tennessee, where she faithfully leads a congregation committed to spiritual growth and community impact. In addition to her pastoral ministry, she serves in higher education, providing leadership in student support, engagement, and formation.
Within the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Rev. Gunn has served on the West Tennessee Conference Board of Examiners in multiple capacities, including instructor, registrar, and now Dean, helping to shape and equip future clergy for ministry.
A lifelong learner, Rev. Gunn earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Master of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary, where she also earned a Certificate in Drug and Alcohol Addiction Counseling. During her time there, she was selected by the faculty as the recipient of the Betty Alston Award for Outstanding Black Female Student, honoring exceptional academic achievement and leadership.
In 2023, Rev. Gunn completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Christian Brothers University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Through her pastoral, academic, and administrative leadership, Rev. Gunn continues to embody her calling, to nurture informed disciples, build community through faith, and help the Church live out its collective mission to transform lives and neighborhoods through the love of Christ.
